Four men have been arrested after allegedly hijacking a truck transporting cargo worth R1.2 million at Putfontein. Ekurhuleni metro police Senior Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago says the truck carrying tiles, tyres and batteries was hijacked on the N3 south just before the Heidelberg off-ramp outside Johannesburg shortly after midnight. The truck was fitted with a tracking device, leading the police to Putfontein. The four suspects were apprehended by officers while they were in the process of off-loading their loot at an abandoned plot in Putfontein.
